About This Special Issue
Detection of Cherenkov light/radiation which emitted from the patient surface by using Solid State Sensors/Systems (ICCD/ICMOS etc) in radiotherapy, the detection of patient position errors by using the Cherenkov radiation and the development and modeling of new types of solid-state sensors (ICCD/ICMOS etc) based on Cherenkov radiation detection and feedback will provide healthier radiotherapy treatment for patient and for environment in the future.
At the same level and accurate repeatability of the dose given in radiotherapy is an important factor for the success of the cancer treatment. The ability to visualize and follow the Cherenkov radiation emitted from the patient's surface between the radiotherapy fractions with real-time Electro-Optic systems and special software will greatly contribute to the treatment. It is to reveal research methods that will enable the use of radiotherapy devices, which are developed to detect patient position errors and provide a healthy treatment, by using the feedback Cherenkov radiations.
ICCD and ICMOS detectors may be detect the Cherenkov radiation which helps the optimization of dose applied to the patient. So, this special issue aims to focus on the scientific application in those fields. This theory also helps us for Detection the Environment hazardous side-effect of some Gama Application which is critical point for Healthy Environment.
